Hell the **** no. Floyd beat that fool like he owed him money. I actually felt bad for Marquez watching him get obliterated in that one sided beatdown.

Nobody is checking for that fight and it does nothing for Floyd's legacy.

While Mayweather may have won most of the rounds I did not think the fight was as one sided as others say it was. Marquez was the attacker the whole fight and kept the rounds reasonably close. One judge gave him 2 rounds. I thought it was one of Marquez's worst fights and he looked off at the heavier weight. Since then he has seemed to have changed his training methods and he is performing much better at 142. I think the Marquez that fought Pacquiao last time was much better than the Marquez that fought Mayweather. I thought Pacquiao beat Cotto way worse than than Mayweather beat Marquez and yet some want to see a Cotto-Pacquiao rematch at 154. It's not like Mayweather gave Marquez this terrible beating. Mayweather just outboxed him. Marquez and his trainer are very smart and I think they could make some changes in the battleplan and make a rematch a closer fight. I still think Floyd would win because of the size difference. The first fight was a boring chest match so this fight would not be a big money maker for Floyd and it won't happen. I expect to get blasted for giving this opinion, so blast away if you must.

No. If he beats Pacquiao, I don't care how, decision, stoppage, cuts, robbery, whatever; he should take that win and run down to the 140 division. So many winnable fights down there for him, Brandon Rios, Lucas Matthysse, Danny Garcia, Humberto Soto[if he can just get a win over a tune up]. At 147, only fight Ricky Hatton. Forget Floyd, forget Bradley, forget a 5th fight with Pacquiao. Just go back down to 140 and finish your career with a good winning streak against top 5 opponents.

However, that probably will not happen. When a fighter gets a taste of those multi million dollar pay days[in the $3-5Million range+], it's hard to get them to go back to just getting $1-2Mill unless they lose. If Marquez beats Pacquiao, he'll most likely call out Bradley, be willing to fight Pacquiao a 5th time, possibly say he wants Mayweather, and call out Ricky Hatton. Out of all of those fights i'll of course go with Ricky Hatton. Marquez-Hatton would be huge if Hatton can beat Senchenko.

I agree. If he beats Pacquiao he should stay at 140 because he is really best at 135-140 and there are so many great winnable fights for him at 140. I think he might retire with a win over Pacquiao since that was his main goal but there is lots of money for him if he wants to stay in boxing. I think he can beat Bradley but Bradley does not bring in much money. He would probably get paid more for fighting Rios and I think he beats Rios easier than he beats Bradley.

hell no. mayweather is not only ridiculously talented, he is also a true welterweight. marquez is not a welterweight.

the only reason his fight with pacquiao was any good is because marquez doesnt have talent AND size disadvantages to overcome.

He would definitely deserve a shot. He's done much more to deserve a Mayweather fight than pacquiao has.

But say if Marquez beats Pacquaio in dramtic fashion as in a stoppage or KO's Pacquaio. How huge will a Mayweather vs Marquez 2 be and how much more legit will people look at this.
No reason for the rematch, it was one of those fights where if you had anything other than 107-120 for Floyd you don't know how to score a fight because it wasn't the least bit competitive.

Well the excuse is "Floyd made him come up 2 divisions right" so if he destroys Manny then how can you trash a Floyd fight?

I must need to watch that fight again because i saw what looked like a father teaching his son how to box.

Marquez is one of the best boxers I have ever seen. He is a counterpunching, combination throwing beast. But Floyd will beat him 100 out of 100 fights. There is nothing Juan can do to beat a fighter like Floyd.
