Matthysse beats him in my opinion.

Two of the biggest names in Argentine boxing today, and none of their country-men wanna see them fight? That doesn't make much sense lol

lucas would not stop throwing to the body, wouldn't suprise me honestly. the more i think about it the more this becomes a 50-50 fight though. matthysse being the better boxer means absolutely jack here. whoever lands the first big shot can take it.

I say Matthysse because I feel he is a bit more sound technically, but the fight would be Maidana's kind of fight so you certainly can't write him off.

It would certainly be a war also.

This is how I view the fight as well..Although Matt's is the more technical of the two,he will be there to be hit..Chino is a tough S.O.B.I would not write him off either...

All my points on Lucas if it happens. He is a far superior fighter.

I think Matthysse would edge this, but Chino is really trying to learn some new things. I'd like to see this down the road for sure. I think Chino is staying at 147 so maybe if Matthysse moves up in the future.

Some people nailed it right on the head. Matthysse may have performed better against pure boxers than Maidana has, but when it comes to sheer grit and unchecked destruction, I believe Maidana has the edge. Matthysse is there to be hit and anyone that is there to be hit is right in the wheelhouse of Maidana. That's why I said at 147 Maidana would be too much for Matthysse (ko or stoppage for Maidana), and probably at catchweight too though that would be competitive to the final bell. Maidana going down to 140 would be all wrong for him because its very rare for a fighter who went up in weight then went back down and kept his same chin. El Chino would be possibly stopped at that weight.

I'd pick Lucas but it's a tough call. Truly one of those fights where the real winners are the fans. For me it's the number one fight I wanna see.
