Whether you like Oscar or not, he always fought the big names since his young years. His story made him even bigger. I honestly think he should have beaten Trinidad,Also Mosley, plus cheated on their rematch, just as I think he lost to Sturm. It was a mistake thinking he could fight at 147 against Pacquiao, he made it worse but not coming 100%, still Oscar was fun to watch, always coming to perform and what a left hook.

I agree with the Trinidad fight, but he didn't win the 1st Mosley fight. I believe the 2nd fight he won. The fight where Shane was all Balco roided up,lol. De La Hoya was a monster. Besides Margarito and Vargas, when has Mosley had a significant knockout moving up in weights? Most of his knockouts came at Lightweight.. De la hoya put a better beating on Gotti than Mayweather, to be honest.Whether you like Oscar or not, he always fought the big names since his young years. His story made him even bigger. "BEAT HIS ASS EASY," yeah ok keep lying to urself man after so many years. many do but that is just fine. The underlying and fundamental prinicple in boxing is to engage your opponent, I would think you can agree with that. Runnin away for the entire second half of the fight does not qualify. He may have had the early rounds but thereafter his tactics during the championship rounds were not even close to attempting to employ boxing ring generalship.Comment
