Cotto/Cuello/Baldomir/Ndou/Hatton/Rhodes/Mosley/Lopez, what do they all have in common, other than being cannon fodder for Canelo? None of them were coming off a fight @154 before they fought him.

The funny thing is, Quintana has two consecutive fights @154 and is going to fight Thurman @154 as well. Canelo's resume is SO lackluster that Quintana would be viewed as a step-up in competition

As for Rosado, almost his entire career takes place at 154 or couple pounds north of there. He would also be viewed as a step-up in competition.

I give Canelo a pass for the Lopez fight. He and GB went out and tried to make fights with Pwill, Ortiz, and Kirkland but they all fell through for one reason or another.
After that its hard to find a legit fighter to take on a challenge like Canelo with that short of notice so they had to make a fight or lose a lot of money by giving up the date.
I agree though, if he doesn't step in the ring with a Lara, Cotto, or Sergio level opponent in the next year it won't be a good look.

@daggum, fair point, but it was also a date on mexican independence day and i am sure they preferred to have a matchup with a guy like Lopez.
Lara is a legit fighter and i am sure would have taken the date on short notice but its a business at the end of the day and with Sergio/Chavez Jr. the same night I guess they felt like they needed a guy with more buzz like Lopez coming off the Ortiz upset.

And lara was the one in line for the wbc shot..but somehow the forgoy him and and lopez came out of jr ww and there he is...take the little one..you will knock him out with one punch...after all he is two weight division under you..but what about lara?...don't say hi s name..we will say that we try to find a decent opponent but the fight fall off so we have to take somebody from the jr ww division..but what about the fans?..they will believe whatever we say..you are our cash cow and we won't risk you against that lara dude..

i see what you guys are tryin to say, why not fight molina, kirkland, angulo, lara, vanes? well its quite simple canelo is the next big thing in boxing why take a risk with these low reward high risk fighters? And still i think in my honest opinion canelo beats them all too. if other p4p fighters can do it why not canelo?

Not worried about Cinnamon AT ALL!

He will be exposed as soon as he steps up the Competition...but GBP Knows that and that is why they are keeping him from fighting Top Competition...they don't mind him losing to Mayweather or Cotto, but him losing to another up and coming fighter would hurt him a lot more then losing to Great Fighters

I think Trout, Molina, Lara, Martirosyan and Rosado would beat Cinnamon
