Comments Thread For: Quintana: I Hope To Take Thurman Out, Get a Title Shot

Veteran Carlos ‘The Indian’ Quintana (29-3 and 23 KO's) is very confident as he continues training for his next return on November 24, when he faces Keith Thurman (18-0, 17 KO's) at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California. Quintana says everything is on the line in this match and a loss could signal the end of his long career. If he wins, he wants to secure a junior middleweight title shot in 2013.

        I got Quintana. . .

Thurman is overrated. he's slow, sloppy, and no technique.

A hilariously awkward KO waiting to happen.

I agree with you. Last time I saw Thurman he didnt show much to me and that was at 147. I thought he looked flabby. If he would of dropped to 140, got rid of that baby fat, he could be more dynamic. Instead he moves up to 152.

Thurman looked lousy in that fight he had recently. He is open to sharp counters......I saw a guy a couple weeks later who fights a little bit like Broner who I think is a better prospect than Thurman whose name escapes me.

This is a very winnable fight for Quintana. I'm not sold on Thurman at all.

In fact, I slightly favor Quintana.
