Biggest obstacle for Bute in a rematch was his seeming inability to take Froch's power, it was actually a body-shot which hurt him so badly in the last meeting.

Bute has power of his own however, so it only takes one punch.

And I'd laugh hysterically if Grachev pulls off another miracle and knocks Bute out to make this all a moot point.

That aside, I'm a fan of saying "F the title, lets fight anyways." So, Froch vs. Bute without the belt on the line is fine by me.

So why say it was 5 rounds of domination?

Bute had no answer for Froch's pressure once he came inside but when they boxed, he was landing some good shots. He remained static a lot of the time after throwing a shot and allowed Froch too many opportunities.

I feel like there is a lot Bute can improve on and create a gameplan which involves boxing on the outside, movement and clinching once Froch gets into range. He needs to increase his punch output because he wasn't doing anything to discourage Froch and he certainly has the power to make him think twice.

We'll see how he handles Grachev's pressure, Froch is still a different beast though.

Bute did land some shots but none of them troubled Froch and that added in my opinion to Bute's downfall.

Most of his opponents when he caught them like that, had to cover up take a breather or even take a count, Froch is the toughest guy Bute has fought and he didnt know what to do.

He could improve and many things but I dont see him beating Froch, Froch has his number, like Ward has Froch's.

Plus Bute figths at Light Heavy next, he was always struggling to get to the weight anyway so that's also a factor that goes in Froch's favour.

Maybe they could meet at LHW?

I had always hoped Froch would go up and challenge Cleverly.

Bute might have gotten one solid round in, but even that's debatable. Domination was the theme of this fight. Every time Bute landed anything near a decent punch Froch came back and hurt Bute. It was a dominant victory there is no other way to describe it.

The rematch wouldn't even be talked about if it wasn't for the clause it was a one sided beat down.

Yea but it isn't as black & white as that.

It's not like Bute tried and put everything on the line, I felt he was very tentative and inexperienced with the pressure Froch brought. The rematch might play out the same way but I can definitely see that Bute could've given more.

I'm not taking anything away from Froch, it was a huge win in a manner that no one expected.
