    According to the World Boxing Council, Cristian Mijares is getting closer to a shot at the full WBC featherweight title. On Saturday in Mexico City, Mijares (47-6-2, 22KOs) captured the vacant WBC United States (USNBC) featherweight title with a ninth round technical knockout of veteran Rafael Marquez, who was favored to win.

      He's inching to a title shot at 126, when the fight was at 122?

      Also, I really like the idea of Ponce-Mijares. Could be similar to the Darchinyan fight though...

          It's weird. Some reports had them weighing 122; I've found others (and Boxrec) higher. Was initially supposed to be for some BS silver belt at 22. Whatever. More than likely Mijares stays around 22. He's softish at 26.
