    Puerto Rican Prospects...

Who is managing these guys? The only one that is being moved up correctly is Pedraza and to be honest he is the least skilled out of the recent ones that have fought.

Luis Orlandon Del Valle: Got his ass handed to him by Darchynian. Who approved of this fight or even thought the kid was ready? Not only is Vic akward but he can punch and has ton of experience.

Thomas Dulorme: One of the most skilled of the bunch. Boxed pretty good but had never faced a big puncher like Abregu. One of the worst decisions in match making. Fought a guy with 33-1 with 27 ko's which only had one last and it was a UD to Tim Bradley. This matchup reminded me when they fed David Reid to Felix Trinidad so early

I think Puerto Ricans should look at the way Mexicans bring up their fighters (Chavez Jr/ Canelo Alvarez) these recent matchups are ridiculous

Most Mexicans don't care about the amateurs, they need to fight to get a payday where in Puerto Ricans get money for representing their country.

Most Mexicans also start to fight in the pros at an early age like 15 or 16, don't get fooled by the way chavez jr was handled. Canelo on the other hand was a pro at 15!

Mexican prospects have it the toughest tbh. They fight to live, eat, support their families etc. They'll fight anyone and everyone, when you see an undefeated Mexican then you know he's got something about him.

On the other end of the scale you have the British prospects. Most are protected to keep that 0 so they go domestic > European > World, so it's a long road and you have to keep the fans interested. But by stalling their progression and not giving them tough tasks, their abilities may begin to stagnate and they never reach their potential.

I think this loss does Dulorme a world of good, even more so than if he had beaten Abregu. He'll come back much stronger.

Na I don't think that is the case in the majority of these boxers...I don't think Chavez Jr. was starving and had to turn pro to earn money for his family

I said don't be fooled by Chavez jr, Jr does not represent the majority. Fighters like margarito, salido, morales represent the majority.

Not all PR fighters coming up had a great amateur ranking either or got paid to represent the country. They are just being mismanaged by greedy promoters and management. Some of these fighters will get discouraged and never reach their full potential because of it
