    Eliminate the Cruiserweight division

It's historically just a stop on the way to heavyweight so why not just get rid of it.

Better yet make 175+ - 219 the new Heavyweight division.

Anyone over 220 call that the super heavyweight division.

But wouldn't people say the same thing about the heavyweight dicision, it's just a stop before they reach the super heavyweight division? But I do see where your getting at though

I'm not sure what the answer is, but there's definitely something that needs to be fixed. If your optimal fighting weight happens to be 215 you're going to have to give up about 30 pounds to the champions. It's not like we need anymore divisions, but in some cases you have guys fighting each other who would be 3+ divisions apart in lower weight classes comparatively speaking.

they could just bump CW's limit up to 210.

I mean, I remember when CW was 176-190

But that's less sanctioning fees for the WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO.

I think this is the way to go. The cruiserweight division in under ultilised.

There are good fighters such as Chambers, Povetkin, Chagaev, Adamek, Boystov, Solis, and Perez who should probably be in the cruiserweight division. After seeing Price's demolition of Harrison, I think it would be dangerous for the smaller heavies to take such punches.

These smaller guys choose heavy over cruiser because of money.

In theory you could have a 201 lbs guy versus a 250 lbs guy with the current division. Hell did Holyfield ever weight more than 220? I can't remember vitali being less than 245thats 25lbs right there. It happens.

Plus all current lt heavys moving up would obviously be idiots to starve down to 176 lbs if the limit is 219 wouldn't they.

Holyfield weighed 205 when he fought Bowe at 235 and looked damn good.

                    Those were winnable fights.
