Comments Thread For: Miguel Vazquez Ready For Gesta on Pacquiao-Marquez

The long awaited fight is finally in place. IBF lightweight champion Miguel Vazquez (32-3, 13KOs) says he is "ready to go" against undefeated Filipino contender Mercito Gesta (26-0-1, 14KOs) on December 8th in Las Vegas, as part of the Manny Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez HBO pay-per-view undercard at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Vazquez retained his title on Saturday with a twelve round split decision over mandatory challenger Marvin Quintero.

Would anybody be surprised if Gesta beat's him after the way he looked last night? I wouldn't, on a side note I'm fed up with all these crooked ass judges.... how the hell did one judge have it 116-112 for Quintero while another had it 118-110 for Vasquez

It was a very close fight that I thought could have gone either way, but that 118-110 judge is WAY OFF!! If Vazquez doesn't do some adjustments, Gesta could have a good win & a title soon(if the fight gets done)..

One more reason not blow 60 bucks on pacqiao Marquez IV. It takes a lot for me to turn the channel on boxing, but Vazquez managed to pull it off in the fourth round last night.

Gesta will beat Vazquez and I'm gonna make a lot of points off of it.

Number 1 LW... Who the fk came up with that silly idea?

118-110 was too wide, but the rounds were close and many could go to either fighter.

Nah, I had it pretty wide for Vazquez. He edged a whole lot of rounds by a small amount. If anything, the Quintero card was off.
