Comments Thread For: Abregu Dares Timothy Bradley To Accept a Rematch

Carlos Abregu (34-1, 28KOs) has dared WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (29-0, 12KOs) to give him a rematch. In his last trip to the United States, Abregu lost a twelve round unanimous decision to Bradley in 2010. After the loss, Abregu returned to Argentina and racked up five knockout victories. On Saturday he returned to the United States and stopped highly regarded up and coming contender Thomas Dulorme (16-1, 12KOs) in seven rounds.

Sounds like a healthy Abregu does.

*** it, let him get at it again. Win or lose, Abregu gotta feel like he's on a roll and will bring it. I'd like to c this fight again if it's true that Abregu wasn't healthy the last time around. Prob doesn't make sense for Bradley at this point and I suspect he'll decline because of it.

Because of a win over an unproven prospect? GTFOH.

Bradley's just 2 levels of talent above. Good job on exposing a hype job, but don't take a sure loss.

They should probably put him in there wih Paulie, or Josesito next. If he was to get past one of those guys then he'll be in line for a nice pay day.

                Abregu can beat Bradley

You guys are talking like Bradley and Abregu never fought. They have and it was a close fight. What makes you think he cannot win. Bradley is not that good.

I did not see it but the scorecards were not close - although I suppose that is not a great indicator.

Bradley is pretty good but I'm not sure that this fight makes sense for him financially.

Make the fight. Bradley needs to keep himself active and he doesn't seem to have any other fights lined up. Wouldn't mind seeing a rematch.
