Is Dulourme still PR??

Yes he is still PR but he has obvious flaws he has to fix. The talent is there but he is still a few years away from being a contender. Right now the guy to watch is Verdejo who got the biggest contract ever for a PR prospect by Top Rank and we know Top Rank know how to build their fighters.
After seeing Dulorme get stopped, after looking nearly invincible before this, Im gonna start trusting only in fighters that can obliterate anyone with pure power, and those guys are:
Bomba Gonzalez'
Maysonet Jr.
Chelo Gonzalez
And I would keep throwing these guys as early as possible to the top guns, they might not make it through the first time, but the experience will make them better.Comment

This is the first time I take the time to watch this guy fight. All in all, I was not impressed. The defense is not good and the punch resistance is, more or less, on the same level. Sure, I was not the one getting hit by Abregu but it seemed like it's not too good.
I don't really follow prospects because of this. I like to wait until they prove themselves first. Otherwise, you just get disappointed. That may be harsh but if they don't show anything I'm not supporting them just because they are compatriots.Comment

That's one of the beauties of boxing though. Seeing dudes develop into something great. You win some you lose some but when you win, it's fucking sweet.Comment

The point is clear. Once they prove themselves I am interested in their careers, whether that is a title fight or just a good scrap against a decent fighter. I am not following someone based on nationality alone. Anyone else, feel free to follow whoever, whenever.Comment

I dont care if Dulorme lost, its a learning experience and he showed he has skills. Still my favorite prospect along with Carlos Velazquez, Del Valle and Bomba and imma stay with them.Comment

Of course.
This fight has definitely showed that Dulorme wasn't ready for such a step up in competition. He still has a lot of things to work on, mainly defense.
The talent is there, just not the experience.
A loss isn't the end of the world, hopefully Dulorme realizes this too, and takes this loss as motivation to improve.Comment

Oh no I'm not advocating that, I think nationalism is ******, I'm just saying it's a great feeling to follow a fighter from the start of his career to his first dangerous fight and to see him pass the test with flying colors. Much better than jumping on the bandwagon late.Comment

We dont know how he is going to fair in the pro ranks. What you have seen is pure amateur from him. Besides, I think Jantony Ortiz was the best in this 2012 class.
