Late replacement? You're talking like Garcia was given a week's notice. Both of them had the same amount of time to get ready for each other. Khan was just getting off a camp for Peterson and was risking overtraining himself as well. So wtf are you talking about late replacement? Why does it matter if he was favored or not?

Not being favored doesn't go along with "perfect matchmaking"...... You would typically put your guy in with fighters he is supposed to beat while not being seen as too much of a threat..... First let me say that Cotto was indeed not the same fighter by the time he met Pacquiao. It was evident in the Clottey fight. Margarito took a big chunk out of Cotto's shelf life.

By the time Mayweather fought Cotto, he was still good, but he was nowhere what he once was before the Margarito fight.

Only difference when Floyd and Pac fought Cotto was the weight; but either way, Cotto was never the same after the Margarito fight. That goes for pac and Mayweather.
