Moments ago world class heavyweight contender James "Lights-Out" Toney told **********.com, "I'm going to give it to you real, he didn't slap me like he claims he did. He tried to slap me and he scratched me with his finger nail like a little *****. Just for that, I'm going to knock his ass out with a pork sandwich, I know he's ******, but I really don't give a crap."
GL: Can you give us your thoughts on Rahman as a fighter?
James Toney: "Rahman ain't crap. He didn't win the damn title, it was given to him. All he's been doing is fighting some bums and he's done nothing to become champion. I'm going to knock his ass silly. All that fake hyping he's doing in front of his people, there were five people holding me back, he could got at me if he wanted to."
GL: James you're a seasoned pro and a throwback fighter in every sense of the word, but in pictures I've seen of you recently, it seems you've been enjoying the Holidays. Will you be able to get yourself into the best shape of your life for March 18?
James Toney: "Man, that's three months away. It's more than enough time for me to be where I want to be. You're right, I'm enjoying myself because I can. I have that right, that ain't got nothing to do with what he's got coming. In March I will be in Iran Barkley shape, and this idiot got me so motivated by doing that little ***** move he did, that I'm going to put him right back on Jim Lampley's lap like Oleg Maskaev did!"
GL: You got married in Cancun in a white t-shirt on top of a wife-beater, sporting bling, how gangsta is that?
James Toney: "You know that's how I do! (laughs) Nobody does it like me, I'm a little different than everybody else. I wanted to get married in just my underwear."
GL: Will there be a more formal service after the Rahman fight?
James Toney: "Yeah, after I knock his punk ass out on March 18, we're going to do it real big for April!"
GL: Rahman said you tried to slide him out of the way and got slapped for it, so you're saying it didn't go down like that, correct?
James Toney: "When me and my fiance came down from the elevator all the camera people were on me. They were on me so much that they didn't even know he was there. That's why he made the big ruckus that he did. He pushed me out of the way, I pushed him out of the way, then we had a little exchange of words, I let him know who the real champ is and then he tried to slap me and scratched my upper lip. He's lucky people were holding me back, but there's not going to be anyone holding me back on March 18."
GL: What did you think of Rock's last performance against Monte Barrett?
James Toney: "Man that wasn't even a fight. Watch what happens when I get up on him. I'm going to be right in front of him, I'm not going to run from him, so what's he going to do. I'm going to hurt him up for real. He's just a puncher, and I'm going to box the crap out of him. I'm going to make him look like an out of shape sparring partner. And I'm letting him know right now, I'm not Lennox Lewis, I will retaliate."
GL: Will there have to be seperate press conferences for the fight in order to avoid any altercation jeopardizing the promotion?
James Toney:" I'm bringing it to him. He's lucky that Jose Sulaiman and his son were there otherwise he would have gotten his ass whooped in Mexico. But everybody knows he's a paper champion. Everybody knows that belt was given to him and he has to prove himself, but I'm the wrong person for him to prove himself against. All he's going to get from me is a career ending ass whooping. He took a catnap when he fought Lennox Lewis, people are used to seeing him look like a clown when he gets knocked out."
GL: Rahman said he's going to be the first person to knock you out and beat you worse than you beat Evander Holyfield. How do you respond to that?
James Toney: "Rock couldn't knock down John Ruiz. This bum lost to John Ruiz right after Ruiz lost to Jones. He's going to beat me like I beat Holyfield? Please, he couldn't beat Holyfield. I told you, I hope Lampley's ready and brings a pillow for his lap, because that's where Rahman's landing. He tried to ruin the good time I was having in Mexico and he's going to pay for it big time. I'm going to beat the brakes off his ass."
