Thanks for your great fights, Eric. We will miss you, you were a true warrior. You could have just stayed away from punching range vs Garcia by backpedalin, hugging, pushing, etc. Just like Mayweather, Cotto and others and lose via decision but you went toe to toe with a good fighter in his prime. Just what a warrior does. My hat off to you.

A Marquez fight in Mexico would be the perfect end,. Win, lose, or draw. It'll be a shame if these two never face each other.

Please no, that fight is best left alone. I remember how people were still calling for it, even after his lost against Garcia in the first fight. At this point that's not even a fight.

            What?! No....

people were worried about Erik's health going into the Miadana fight some people were saying he could've been killed.

Arum said that after the Pacquiao or Diaz fight Erik kept hearing a ring in his head after getting punched hard. He had deteriorating health.
This last fight just proved he can't compete at a world level anymore. He's been through way too many wars. Marquez isn't going to knock Erik out with one punch he's going to beat him over 12 rounds if he keeps coming out of the corner and the ref doesn't stop it. He'll receive worse damage than he did against Garcia. He doesn't deserve that

I think Morales would do better than ya'll are giving him credit for. Yea he got smoked by Garcia but that kid is a young lion. Marquez is a lot older, slower, and his style would better suit Morales. Don't think Morales would win but I also never thought Morales would bring it to Maidana the way he did either. Fight won't happen anyway. Let a brother dream!

My favourite fighter always has been Erik Morales, a true warrior with elite level boxing skills, tough as nails & always fought the best & gave the fans their moneys worth.

Fighters like Morales are a dying breed, a true legend in every sense of the word.

                      Gracias Erik.
