When I think of Manny Steward,I'm always reminded by his commentary on the Vasily Jirov-James Toney fight.To see a guy that had been around boxing for so long,who had seen so many fights,who was usually a very reserved commentator,completely lose his mind and get caught up in the excitement of this fight.......you just knew that you were watching something special:








Just listen to him in the final minute of the last round.

I did not realize he was ailing until I saw the story about Wlad working with his sparring partner as his trainer because Manny was ill.

The boxing world mourns for the loss of this true gentleman.
