According to sources both in K2 Ukraine Promotions and Ural Boxing Promotions, two undefeated ex-Soviet welterweights will collide on November 24, which is the tentative date, in a place to be confirmed later but possibly in Russia. The first of the two is WBC #2 and WBA #14 welterweight contender Anton Novikov (25-0, 10 KOs) of Kopeysk, Russia, and the second one is Ukrainian veteran Valeriy Brazhnik (29-0-1, 17 KOs), who can be found at #10 in the WBO ranks. A vacant WBC Silver welterweight title will be at stake for this contest.
