Is Hunter a promoter now? (rhetorical question so don't bother replying)

My prediction is that this fight will be made in the summer.

Khan will move up to Welterweight and have a fight in Spring. Kell might even be IBF champ by then so a summer showdown would be cool... The winner will fight Hatton in the winter.

Brook's promoter Eddie Hearns offered Khan 2 million GBP the equivalent of more than 3,000,000 $, which would be Khan's biggest purse ever. Sheffield United football club has approached Hearns about the possibility to stage that fight in front of more than 35,000 people in Sheffield.

Even though I view a 50/50 split as completely baseless just as everyone else, Khan wont see money like that anywhere else so how is this a high risk/low reward fight??

High risk - yes, low reward definitly not but the former is most probably the reason why Khan wants to postpone the fight a bit, which makes perfect sense from his perspective.

Brook should fight Alexander next and then try to get Hatton or Khan if he is ready by then.

Completely agree with you on this aspect of their potential fight.

50/50 isn't going to happen unless Brook has world titles by the time they fight, which is a big possibility I think. In that scenario Brook would then deserve the lions share - maybe 60/40 (assuming Khan doesn't have world title(s). But Khan deserves the lions share until that scenario happens.

Kell hasn't even had a sniff at a world title yet how can he possibly demand 50%??

I do understand Khan's viewpoint. In my eye's Khan is one more KO loss away from irrelevance and I believe Brook would hand him that very loss...he'll see it as a big risk with not a huge reward.
I agree, except I believe Khan is already irrelavant, everyone knows how to beat him now. He should just stay in the UK and fight as a way to save his career.

Khan has no titles, is coming off 2 defeats and is fighting a nobody next. What is he bringing to the table that earns him more than 50/50??
If the fight is in Sheffield then most of the tickets sold will be Kell Brook fans or neutrals wanting to see Khan knocked out.
I agree Khan has acheived more than Kell up to now but as of right now their career's are moving in different directions. Khan said last year that he didn't need Brook but if Brook wins the title and Khan isn't impressive in his inevitable victory in December then it will be the other way round.

Hearn isn't green enough to open up preliminary negotiations through the media by touting for the amount that he'd be willing to settle for straight off the bat. He knows that Khan is the bigger draw at the moment.

Khan is a better fighter and a bigger name. The only thing Brook has over Khan is the same thin everyone has over Khan...and that's his chin. No one in the U.S has even heard of Brook even people here who follow boxing just learned of him yesterday...
