Putting on a stellar performance in front of your home fans or completely outclassing someone in front of their home crowd?
As a boxer what would you prefer?

A good away win. Fighting away from home in front of a hostile crowd takes some getting used to and the more good memories you can collect in those situations the better.Comment

I dunno... Home win if I had a choice every time. You always have your hometown to fall back on. That and if you're the one at home you're probably dictating the terms which means (most likely) more moniessssss. Would you rather be Carl Froch in Atlantic City? Or Carl Froch in Nottingham?Last edited by NearHypnos; 10-24-2012, 05:44 AM.Comment

I think it depends on wether your a homly fan favourtie, say like Ricky Hatton who to be honest fights at home where ever he goes.
If you burn cold in the furnace, and are highly skilled and don't get caught up with the emotion of support and are more cerebral, ala Mayweather I think they would benifit more from being under the scrunity of the crowd.
Perfect example of this is how Hatton/Mayweather was in Vegas yet it seemed like Mayweather was fighting away from home.
When Hatton got knocked out there was basically silence.
I think myself I would prefer to go to someone back garden and just knock the other guy out.
The pressure of fighting infront of an army of fans would be unbearable.Comment
