After a 14 month layoff, former two-time IBF flyweight champion "Archie" Solis (34-2-3, 21 KOs) will return to the ring on November 3 at the Multipurpose Center in Hermosillo. Solis was scheduled to return late last year, but the boxer was allegedly attacked during training camp by 154-pound champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. According to Solis' side of the story, Canelo was under the impressions that Solis was dating his former girlfriend, which Solis denies. Solis suffered a broken jaw and lost several of his teeth during the incident.
