They underrate every come forward fighter's skill. I get it, circling and boxing, using the jab and counter punching is easier to see and flashier than the subtlety involved in getting inside and fighting at close range.

That's why they don't talk about Floyd Mayweather's ability to fight inside.

very true. it seems the newer generation of fans (post tyson) seem overly concerned with power and less concerned with boxing skill and what it ttakes to really win a fight.

That said I don't botice that Rios has this level of skill. The inside punches land very flush, i don't see him moving his head with the punch to lessen the effect.

Of course he gets hit flush its only inevitable when you're going toe to toe, BUT he does keep a high guard and catches alot of shots on his gloves, he also parrys shots and rolls with shots. Not making him out to be a defensive wizard or anything just saying he has underrated defense

The punishment he recieved in his last fight was proof. He was hurt twice in his last fight. Broner will stop him at 140. Garcia is more of a threat to Broner, but I feel Broners defense and speed will off set Garcias power. Broner will take away Garcias left hook with over hand rights.

          What do you guys think?
I'll believe it when I see it.

Kid needs to beat top competition before this kind of talk.

look at his eyes and his face after a fight. they tell a different story.

I think its somewhere in the middle. but i'd like to see some more torso movement.

his face always suggests he doesn't. now I know we can't expect floyd/sweet pea stuff, but I respectfully disagree that he is moving his head that much.

this guy gets it...a lot of fans fail to notice this when watching an inside fighter...they all think it has to look like prime James Toney to have inside skill
