Rey Bautista: Check Him Out.

i'm not saying his footwork is bad. just a li'l more polishing and he's the real deal. Finito and the Pretty Boy are my personal faves, somehow when you take a liking to some fighters, a mental image of the ideal style gets stuck on your head, then you unconsciously compare that to others...i guess that's asking too much

i got the Jauregi-Suico fight, he's frustratingly so slow, has terrible defense, i mean zero defense and can't get to unload his supposedly dynamite fists during the few times when he got Jauregi's back on the ropes.

Hope someone will share his latest fight at the video section ...

I dunno, I honestly think that Pacquiao is just a beast. Pac when he was at supa bantam was a monster that had blinding fists and deadly power. Even now. Bautista is just mo disciplined and less reckless than Pacquiao in my opinion.

I really want to see this kid if he's for real or just another Suico.

he's better than suico, i guarantee that!! he moves faster and punch better than suico or pacquiao. this kid will become a world champion in 2 years time, if not in 2006, maybe in 2007!

Well from the fights I've seen on Rey, he actually has nice footwork. He hops back and forth on both feet constantly while darting in and out with body shots and occasional straight rights. He definitely is no Suico. Suico aside from being goofy looking, he just sits in 1 spot waiting for his opponent to come in. That guy he fought on the spanish channel easily outboxed Suico by simply moving around him and not getting close as Suico would like. Rey goes after you and when you try to hit him, he hits back harder. Rey is very similar to Tito. I been trying to think all the time what kind of boxer he reminds me of since he lacked speed though had that overall strength and decent defense, and yeah, Tito definitely matches up with it.

if it is possible and if gerry peņalosa will agree, i think he can be a good sparring partner for him because gerry's an excellent counter-puncher and he's got the ability to hit on all angles plus gerry can hit shorter punches. plus if he adapts gerry's defense, he's unbeatable even to the likes of a rafa marquez!!

Can't wait fight will be shown today at 9:00pm here in Cali. Ch. 46 on DTV. I have only seen Bautista fight low res on the net. From what Ive seen he is way more polished than Pac at that age and seems to have more power in both hands. As far as speed I don't think Manny was as quick as he is now when he was 18.
