Michael Katsidis, Paulus Moses and Roman Martinez weren't British.

Seems like an awful fight. What is Liam Walsh even ranked at, to get a title shot out of the blue like this?

        Burns isn't English, he's Scottish.

In case you haven't heard, he's likely to fight the winner of Adrien Broner/DeMarco in February, so chill.

Rees or Murray would have been better than this.
I disagree about Murray - he suffered bad back-to-back beatings to Mitchell and Rios. The latter has probably ruined his career, to be honest. At least Walsh is young, fresh, unbeaten and certainly on the ascendancy. Why fight Murray, a guy who got KO'd by the guy you just KO'd?!

Even a half decent Troll would have known he's Scottish. Fucking moron!

This is a Fish Eyes special tho. Terrible.

Burn trying to avoid his mandatory, in Gonzalez. Gozalez will chew him up and KO his ass.

This fight won't build momentum for Burns or help with regards to fighting the top guys, a wasted fight date where he could have been building his top level experience.
Walsh is in too deep in my opinion, A nothing fight for Burns really, probably an opponent he can get rounds in and or knockout late if he so chooses.

Burns is in the long run thinking of a Broner fight I would of though, this wouldn't be a bad opponent to work on a few things under pressure for that fight.

You can work on all sorts of things in sparring with better guys but its not the same as working on things in a real fight with your record on the line even if it is against an opponent who is overmatched.

I'm not saying Walsh and Broner fight alike or Walsh is even in Broner league I'm saying this is nothing but a tune up.
