The idea of the sport itself is why it will live forever. There's nothing better than two guys in a ring trying to beat the other up.

The fights - at its best, boxing has ebb and flows that can read like a play.

The fighters - the fact they come from all walks of life, all over the world...from privileged background, from the streets, prison, or from a country that offers nothing. everyone has a unique road. I don't spend a ton of time making moral judgments in a sport like this unless you're killing people or haven't already done ur time.

Fight nights - the anticipation, preparation, and alcholization of fight weekends have provided 1000s of memories. Hell with a calender, fight night dates are my reference points for time. even fight nites as a youngster, I think that watching fights was the only time my dad and I really talked in depth lol. He fit in the "birds n bees" talk in between rounds of a Tuesday Night Fight.

there's always a "new" generation of up-and-comers to follow to greatness.

all types of reasons....the good still outweighs the bad for me otherwise I wouldn't be watching

It is the theater of the unknown, you never know what you are going to get

World wide you can compete against any in your weight class. Same rules every where

A sport that you can be losing every minute of every round and with one punch win.

Watching guys figuratively and literally fight their way out of poverty to a better life with only the tools god gave them. It's brutal but god damn it can be beautiful.

                ..and yes, the Tecate girls.
