Weight drained people don't fight like he does.

I wonder if cranium density allows guys absorb punishment a lot better than others? Some guys may have thicker skulls than others, guys like Andrade, Toney, Chavez etc.

I remember seeing some "real life super humans" or something like that, it showed people with amazing abilities, one guy was able to take an extraordinary amount of force to his head. This guy would smash all sorts of things on his head, metal chairs would leave dents, bricks, he even dropped a bowling ball on his head, he was 100% fine!

They ran some tests on him, from x rays or an MRI (idk which one) they found out his skull was a lot thicker than the average man, this allowed him to take that punishment with no problem.

I also remember Chuvalo (great chin) saying he was able to take punches on top of his head no problem, but his chin was the weak spot.

I think it was revealed years ago that Chavez (sr) has an abnormally thick skull. I couldn't tell you where I heard this though. Hagler seems to have a very thick skull too.

I have a theory that skull shape is probably a more important factor than skull thickness. Guys with round or square looking heads seem to have better chins than guys with oval-shaped heads. I know it sounds ridiculous but it's just a theory.

its simply genetics !! ................... every person is different , as gifted as khan is in speed and endurance , he simply has a low tolerance for head trauma .............. his body reacts to been hit and he starts doing his little samba dance !

          that will never change !!

you only have to look at his fight history to see its an innate trait of the khan genetic !

his mind is not the quickest either ! he makes bad decisions in the heat of battle , he fights when he should hold ! he runs when he should fight !!

you see it in real life !! people who seemingly don't react when hit !! its usualy thick set stocky people but not always !!

some people are just made of stronger stuff as simplistic as that in my eyes !

He gets stopped because he has a shaky chin and many defensive flaws.

Khan was ok at 140 for a while, eating the punches of Maidana (the same punches which floored Ortiz three times) like they were nothing, but that was 2 years ago and because he's growing naturally, his body is starting to weaken under the pressure of making the 140 limit.

Most people who are knowledgeable about boxing can assess that pretty easily for themselves. To make things worse, Khan's new strength and conditioning coach (the same guy who works with Haye) had him doing weights like a heavyweight, focusing mainly on upperbody strength. For a fighter like Khan who is already struggling with the weight that would do more harm than good because he's basically too top heavy with a compromised foundation.

thats not really true though , watch the maidana fight again he never got caught clean once they were always with khan moving backwards or turning away , and even then he was nearly out in the 10th and ran for 2 rounds after !

hes simple got a low tolerance to punishment !

that man gets caught clean or flush hes out !! .......... been caught while moving backwards takes allot away from the shot

I personally think some of Khan's knock outs come down to the fact that he's weight drained.
dawson moving down to 168 lbs and getting tKOed by Ward is a legit example of a weight drained fighter getting stopped...

khan getting dropped is not a legit example of this.... khan gets tKOed cause he sucks.... his offense is amatuerish and his defense is his offense

Yeah, he was stopped by Prescott and Garcia b/c of his weight issues.

He got hurt by Maidana because he "wanted to prove he could be macho and fight"......gee, I didn't know that simply moving laterally and on the backfoot and having a guy time your jab with an overhand right was "wanting to prove your toughness".

"Garcia landed a lucky hail mary punch". Hmm...a guy whom looks to counter and is dangerous in exchanges lands a shot on a guy with poor defense and composure.
