He is not the fastest or the most technically sound but he seems to constantly reading and adjusting through the fight and he obviously hits with authority. I will love to see him pick up some foot work from a good trainer, that will make him extremely hard to beat.
I was thinking this same thing. He has good instincts and power with decent hand speed. He still walks around the ring too stiff. If he could get better footwork and start throwing shorter shots in combination look out he could be a real force and possible top 10 p4p kind of fighter. Cottos trainer maybe?

****!!! What a punch! They could hear that shot all the way up in the Bronx! It was an honor to see a legend like morales fight in NYC, even though he's way past his prime.

Garcia controlled the fight. He badly hurt Morales in the third round and then finished him off with monster left hook that nearly sent Morales flying out of the ring. The fight was waved quickly off by the referee and Morales' corner hit the ring to stop the action.

GTFO do you know anything about boxing??? Erik in his prime would have never entered a ring with jr welter, Erik in his prime was a bantam.

I like Danny Garcia but this win adds NOTHING to his career other than an easy payday. No one wants to see a young star in the making knockout old faded former champions. He speaks negatively of Lucas Matthysse but this is exactly the guy he should be fighting next or maybe square off with Jab Juddah.

I think he is having money troubles. It's obvious he has been in much better condition in his prime. He looked pudgy during the weigh in.
