Estadio Luna Park in Buenos Aires, Argentina - WBO super flyweight champion Omar Narvaez (37-1-2, 20 KOs) stopped Johnny Garcia (16-4-1, 8 KOs) in the eleventh round. Narvaez was getting the edge in a good boxing match and dropped Garcia in the seventh round. Narvaez controlled the action and then let his hands go in round eleven, dropping Garcia three times to end things. Narvaez dedicated the win to his father, who recently passed away. The passing of Narvaez's father pushed the fight from Wednesday to Saturday.

Other than Donaire, who has this guy fought? When is he going to start fighting some rerious competition? He has a 12 year career with 5 fights fought in Europe and 1 in USA, the rest in Argentina. Local Hero I guess!

He's had world title fights outside his home country, unlike pampered US boxers like Andre Ward, Bernard Hopkins and Floyd Mayweather who always demand home advantage.

He fought six of his title defenses at flyweight in Europe against European challengers. That's six more title defenses overseas than many "champions" make. Only in recent years has he stuck exclusively close to home, where he's a legend and can make decent money. Garcia, btw, was ranked 8th at 115 by boxrec, so he wasn't a pushover, especially for a 37-year-old

I see Narvaez decided to shave his body hair for better aerodynamics
