I don't think anyone from that list beats Gómez at 122. Gómez is, pretty much, the GOAT super bantamweight, and it's tough to see him as the underdog against anyone. Sánchez beat him because of size and resilience, I don't think it was a good matchup for him. Anyway, I would favor Gómez against any other super bantamweight from any era.

    Why?

Because Gómez had it all. He was a devastating puncher with great boxing skills who could fight going forward or box effectively while moving in circles. On top of that, the guy had incredible heart. Gómez is, to me, the best fighter ever to come out of Puerto Rico.

Young man, please at least go to the trouble of finding out who Gomez was. Then come back and tell me realistically that you think Morales, Barrera, and Pac beat him!

Morales was a great fighter and he was at his best at 122. Could he have beaten Gomez? Absolutely NOT!

Anyone pointing out the Salvador Sanchez matchup was at 126 not 122, Gomez was and stayed undefeated at 122, his loses were 2 at 126 and 1 at 130.
