  • Comments Thread For: Quillin Drops N'Dam Six Times To Win WBO Crown

Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York - Peter Quillin (28-0, 20KOs) dropped Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam (27-1, 17KOs) six times to capture the WBO middleweight title. The scores were 115-107 across the board. The champion was dropped twice, from hard lefts, and saved by the bell in the fourth. N'Dam was dropped two more times in the sixth round and his right eye was bleeding. The champion had a good seventh by letting his hands go when Quillin was backed against the ropes. He continued to outwork Quillin in rounds eight and nine. Quillin went back to work in the tenth. But then N'Dam stole the eleventh. However, then Quillin scored two more knockdowns in the final minute of the twelfth.

Very good fight, Peter had brilliant power. But great heart by Hassan

Felt like Wlad-Peter might have been had they both been the same size.

I told you for years now this would happen!

Hopefully you will start to give Peter "The Kid Chocolate" Quillin his due respect!

Great fight but I think Ndam was affected by Mike Tyson's speech. He seemed distracted (probably momentarily starstruck?) going into that round while Tyson was still speaking and got caught with that shot which then would have weakened him for the rest of the fight. I wonder what would have happened if Tyson wasn't there?

Ndam is a hell of a fighter! Quillan is good too.

            Got to be a rematch!

Great fight, and Hassan showed the heart of a champion. Peter looked to gas out after the 9th, but this was a good stepping stone.

Cong**** to Peter, but I'm really frustrated with N'Dam, how did he ever make it to the champ level if he is so easily knocked down? And considering how well he recovered, never really looked like he was hurt, and was able to push back at Quillin, I'm a little suspect over N'Dam's being knocked down.

N'Dam probably comes out of this with more credit than Quillan,to be honest.Guy can definitely punch, but he's so damn frustrating to watch.
