Comments Thread For: Kenny Anderson Punishes, Stops a Game Robin Reid

Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield, Yorkshire - At 41 years and 8 months of age, former WBC super middleweight champion Robin Reid had a slim chance to become the oldest ever owner of the oldest and maybe the most honourable national title, the Lonsdale belt. Reid did what he could but he was unable to stop Scottsman Kenny Anderson (18-1, 13 KOs), who demolished the veteran in five hard-fought rounds.

Anderson looked like crap against a 41 year old Reid , seriously if he fights like that again he won't have that belt for long . Kalid yafai on the other hand looked class , I think he's going to be world class with our a doubt

I wouldn't say he "demolished" Reid at all. Robin was winning until he got tired and caught with a good uppercut, them never really recovered.

Indeed, he was winning handily in the first four rounds, which is marked in the story. But the fifth was a painful experience for Mr. Reid, and, yeah, he was demolished there.

Glad that people clarified that it wasn't a one sided punishment, thought I was losing it for a second there.

I find Reid's eyebrows very unnerving.

Anderson is a strong, tough man who comes to fight and likes to fight. A match between him and Paul Smith would be entertaining, and maybe brutal, and that may well be up next but even if Kenny were to come through that he's too much of a plodder to make it beyond the domestic league.
