it's been discussed a bit already on the board, no one is really surprised by anything that comes out of Tarver's mouth anymore and until papers get signed, no one (for the most part) really is gonna pay attention (which is how it should be, IMO).

Tarver is asking for a 50/50 split...this fight won't happen. Tarver better settle on something because there isn't all that many options out there for him, especially if he is demanding big money (which is somewhat questionable to begin with). He should take a 60/40 split with Tyson, since he will wind up with a better gate for a Tyson fight than one with any of the other heavies, champs included.

tarver should just take the 40/60 because as bfg stated, he will get more doing that then any other heavyweight fight. i don't even think jones got 50-50 against ruz but i'm not 100% sure on that. just take the damn 40/60 becaus it's just about even and tyson should get more of it since tarver is moving up.

and i think that even though tyson said he would retire after he faces tarver, that if he would get a title shot after he ko's tarver that, he would come back for the match.

Maybe (and this is a big maybe) if Tyson comes in motivated and in shape he would beat Tarver but I think it is also a smart match for Tarver since Tyson has had the tendency to fall apart recently. I'm sick of Tarver already and would love to see Tyson take his head off but Tarver will probably just wind up facing Jones again, or Johnson. Light Heavy is more of a wasteland than the heavyweight division is....
