If Cotto assimilates GGG in sparring ... he will surely come up to the ring more confident .. I'm sure Diaz plan is to prepare Cotto for a Bigger puncher...

Delvin Rodriguez said that Trout spend most of the time moving/running away from him... If he was evading trading punches with delvin.. Trust me that Cotto is going to cut that ring and find a away to break down trout..

And in the event he choose to box... He definitely has he edge cos he will not only brings good boxing skills but also carries the power to break down Trout.

But more seriously, why would Cotto spar with a flat-footed orthodox fighter to prepare for a slick southpaw?
An intelligent post wow. Kudos amongst some of the BS (Cotto's going to take a knee) nonsense around here.

Hmmm now this makes zero sense.

        1. Trout is not a big puncher

        2. Trout uses movement

        3. Trout is left handed

        1. GGG is a hard puncher.

        2. GGG is more a brawler.

        3. GGG is right handed.

Cmon Team Cotto wtf. I hope this isnt his main sparring partner. Shouldve gave Collazo and Quintana a call.

Awesome, I just hope this doesn’t stop a potential fight between the 2 down the road!

Cotto, Hatton, Kirkland are good examples of what happens when you don't have a good team supporting you. I think Cotto is in good hands.

It's nice to see Cotto not being run by Bob Arum anymore... Smart fighters know when to play Bob's game but they also know when to drop Bob off at the next block and start to promote themselves when they want certain BIG fights to be made that are not in Bob's best interest.

Cotto should be careful with that dude....remember what happened to bad Chad when sparring Miranda...he got knocked and it definitely affected the way that fight went down.

Who has Cotto ducked? He's fought Quintana, Corley, Bailey, Malignaggi, Judah, Mosley,Margarito, Clottey, Pacman, Floyd. Quintana and Malignaggi were both undefeated Margarito no one wanted to fight. Hes fought everyone when they were still goin good not past their primes. The only person that was is Mayorga. People will always find a way to hate. Cotto is a throwback fighter and take on all comers.

Golovkin would not be my choice of a sparring partner for this fight. Different type of guy than Trout except that they are of similar size, but Trout is a southpaw and Golovkin is an orthodox fighter.

Golovkin being in camp training with Cotto maybe sparring a bit would be alright as having another world class guy around couldn't hurt either of them, but he is not a guy who I would use to get ready for this fight.

Trust me I'm close to not being a Canelo fan anymore if he pulls the crap again like he did in fighting Lopez.
You're talking about Miguel Cotto's run at 154 but have the nerve to be a fan of Canelo? What has he done at 154 for you to be a fan of him? Cotto fought Floyd at 154 and that's better than what Canelo has and probably will ever do there unless he fights Floyd, Martinez, Cotto himself or any of the other top 154 fighters.

Yea I have criticized Canelo for the bullshit he's done. I criticize everyone equally unlike you with black boxers. Look what happened when he fought Floyd who's smaller. Cotto just isn't on the level of Pac/Floyd and I say the same thing with Canelo. But overall Canelo has done more at 154 than Cotto and I don't praise Canelo into something he's not like many fan bases do with their boxers. Again, like you and black boxers.
