        John, have you heard anything from Maynard? Last I heard he was running a boxing program for youths in Maryland.

          Yes, Gong, I still talk to Andrew all the time (one of my best friends in boxing)...he's been in Texas for years running a program there...doing well...

            I followed the Olympians from 88 and their pro careers pretty closely(or as close as I could from England) and I really thought Maynard would have gone further than he did. He always came across really well in interviews and seemed like a really sound bloke. Wish him well from a fan in England.

              Yea, definitely...when we were coming out of the amateurs Andrew was THE MAN at that time..people forget but he was really something...very intense, put big time pressure on, threw a ton of punches for a light heavy...I think when he first went pro they tried to get him to box too much and use too much lateral movement and it threw his style for a loop...
