Hope morales is legal-positive. At any rate, the fight's still on.

He tested postive for clenbuterol which is a breathing aid, but also has a weight loss effect..so technically the only thing the drug did was help him cut weight..it has no performance enhancing capabilities unless you plan on cycling 120 miles a day like in the tour de france..if it were muscle related then I could see why the fight would be called off but the drug at it core doesn't have any true beneficial aspect outside of weight cutting in this case..still not good but at least it wasnt something that would improve his performance in the ring..if anything I think using the drug would hurt him more because it wasn't a natural dropping of weight. It also does not affect the hemoglobes nor introduce more oxygen into your blood which would have a positive effect in a fight..out of all the things one could possibly test positive for this is one of those that is banned only because it benefits cyclist and that's what the vada and usada prominently operate within..either way not a good look but I wouldn't necessarily call it a PED since it really has no enhancement to the athlete for something like 3 minute rounds.Last edited by turnedup; 10-19-2012, 12:22 AM.Comment

Prior to my current career I was a competitive cyclist..I took plenty of things (supplements) in my time because it was a common place to do so..nothing surprises me and I also believe these things are very prominently used during boxers and athletes down time when they aren't being tested for the healing purposes. I quit cycling when I tore my MCL during a competition in switzerland in 2001.Last edited by turnedup; 10-19-2012, 12:32 AM.Comment

I really despise when boxing fans turn things into a racial war..I respect any man that gets in a ring to fight..you should too...regardless of race.Comment
