Comments Thread For: Ariza Has No Issue With Pacquiao's Delay to Hit Wild Card

“Fighter of the Decade” Manny Pacquiao’s strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza believes that his decision to delay his departure for the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles and to continue training in his hometown of General Santos City with Filipino trainer Restituto “Buboy” Fernandez is not bad.

Ariza who was in the Philippines for seventeen days said “I am a firm believer in a shorter more intense camp than a long camp. I think it’s a good thing that he can work at his own pace and develop as you go and then when you get closer to the fight you pick up the intensity for a shorter amount of time.”

Oh, *** off, Ronnie. Remove Manny's nuts from your chin and stop prefixing his name with "Fighter of the Decade" any time you write an article. That decade is over and in Manny's last 3 fights he has looked less than thrilling.

This fight is a bunch of BS, anyway.

Seems that everyone likes to undermine Freddy's position as a trainer. The man has already proven himself with his fighters and you can't be number one forever. That being said maybe Freddy who is in the sunset of his career as a trainer due to age and his unfortunate physical condition just does not have the energy, fire or desire to school these ego manics like Kahn and Chavez anymore. Manny on the other hand has always done what he wants and has always trained hard. Ariza is a S&C coach only and i find it funny that he makes statements like this to the press "He has no Issue" with Manny's delay to hit the Wild Card. The guy should stick to his LIMITED position in the Pac mans camp and shut his yap. He is NOT a Boxing coach or trainer! Annoying to say the least.
