None of them go around saying they'll only fight one boxer when they're not even champion (JMM excepted but he's paid his dues).
Nevertheless David Haye is the best HW in UK at the moment. He should fight Povetkin.Comment

He didn't want to fight Chisora but gave in and did it because the fans wanted it and he was promised a shot at Vitali. Like you Klitschko fans keep saying Vitali is old and he's only going to get older so it makes no sense to wait.Comment

How come no one mentioned Adamek? In less then three years he has fought nine times in the division to include three Ring top ten fighters and a few other top fifteen fighters and fringe contenders. He was also inline to fight another top ten fighter unit Solis bailed. So, what does he do? He signs to fight the opponent who gave him one of his toughest fights at CW in Cunningham. So, regardless of how you feel about Adamek his resume stands out as one of the better ones within the division.Comment

Haye doesn't need to fight guys like Povetkin. Whether you agree with it or not, his profile is very strong. He doesn't need fights like that - hell, his last fight was in a football stadium and 30,000 showed up. So you may complain about his "Klitschko or nothing" stance, but he can get away with it.
Anyway, the main reason he has got such an attitude is because he is supposed to be retired right now. Since he was young he planned to retire at 30, and I'm sure he wanted to stick to it and would've stuck to it had he beat Wladimir. As it stands, he was unsatisfied, wanted to get a Klitschko fight for redemption, but took on Chisora as a means of qualifying for a Klitschko shot. After all, Bertd Boente approved of a box-off between them for the right to face Vitali. So he is in the position to fight Vitali now, like it or not.
Besides, does anyone really think Povetkin or Adamek would beat Haye? Give me a break. Not only is he way faster and more athletic than them, he is more experienced (in the case of Adamek, just as experienced) and he hits harder. And they're not big fights in the UK, nor are they big fights in the US. So what is the point?!
As it stands, Haye is on the way out. He is on Vitali's radar, and he's quite happy to stay there and get another big fight. If he loses to Vitali, we can all laugh in unison as he re-retires. If he wins, we can look forward to a rematch or seeing if he can give Wladimir a better fight than he did last time. Unlike with the Tony Thompson rematch, you get the impression Haye could do much better against Wlad with the right tactics, and if he took more risks. His performance in the first fight was pathetically tame.Comment

Because if he truly cared about his fans he would be fighting instead of running his mouth. But in fairness to Haye it may not be all his fault. And that's because he may be inflicted with the psychological condition known as the "Floyd Mayweather Syndrome."
The patients are usually diagnosed with the syndrome when they only fight once a year or so and still demand the world. However, there is a big difference between Floyd and some of the others who may be inflicted with the syndrome.
I will begin by saying that none of us as fans really care for how Floyd does business. That is with him fighting once year, and hand picking opponents etc. However, like or not I truly believe that Floyd has at least earned the right to be a primadona. He has earned that right by winning multiple titles with multiple defenses against elite fighters during his career. In my opinion that is something that Haye hasn't even come close to accomplishing.
Therefore Haye doesn't have the right, because he hasn't earned it, to be telling us as fans that he doesn't have the time or has no concern to fight anyone but Vitali. And that is why he is an absolute fraud in my opinion. And is Haye really going to use the age card as a reason not to fight at 32? If so how the hell does he think Vitali feels pushing 42? What a fraud!Last edited by Ravens Fan; 10-17-2012, 03:25 PM.Comment

Haye doesn't care about the fans and a resulting Vitali shot was more of a hope than an expectation.
