Final note for tonight. Let me clarify the IBF situation. At weighin I was informed Id be stripped of my IBF if I didnt defend it within 90 days vs their Mandatory. In addition, they were charging me $42,000 for a belt I never received. Yep, u heard that right....I never got my IBF belt. The belt I walked in with was my 112lb belt from Darchinyan. So instead of getting stripped, I relinquished it.

As if we did not need further evidence to know already that all Sanctioning Bodies are systematically wrong, Donaire's post above shows the mistreatment fighters receive at the hands of these corrupt organisations.

Not that I'm defending the IBF, but I wonder about the 42k figure. Did Donaire pay his sanctioning fee in the Mathebula fight? Maybe that's the fee for both the Mathebula fight and Nishioka fight and why he didn't get the belt. And is the price of the belt extra from the santioning fee? Sanctioning bodies don't have set fees. They charge a percentage of a fighter's purse. 42k of 750k(that's Donaire's purse) is 5.6% of the purse. If it is for both fights, then I believe 3% is supposed to be a normal percentage.
