    well, i hope so.

    but look at the current champs: rahman, brewster, byrd, and valuev. i dont think briggs will be the one to rid us of the poisonous byrd, rahman's gonna lose pretty soon to toney, he might stand a chance against brewster, but i dont think he'll be able to beat valuev.

    with the current champions, his best bet is against brewster.

        the judges ****ed Foreman b/c they wanted him to retire. Foreman clearly won that fight.

          Given the situation in the HWD right now he is most definetely a contender again..........I doubt he will do a whole lot but you never know he has a good punch and thats all it takes to be somebody for a minute in the HWD.

            Right now hes a contender and i respect him for keeping really active and trying to ressurect his career but he desperately needs to fight someone that matters

                  For someone who has been calling out Peter and talking trash, he does not seem to be in a hurry to fight Peter. He is fighting someone else instead.

                  Heavyweight Shannon Briggs (45-4-1, 39 KO’s) goes for his tenth straight win and tenth straight knockout when he fights for the USBA heavyweight title on January 27 at Miccosukee Resort & Gaming in Miami. Briggs opponent will be named. The Telemundo-televised main event will feature Jair Jimenez (22-3-1, 18 KO's) faces Cecilio "Boga" Santos (18-5-2, 11 KO's) for the WBO Latin jr. bantamweight title. Also featured is welterweight Gilberto "Sugar" Reyes (18-2-1, 11 KO’s) vs TBA. The card is being promoted by All Star Boxing, Inc., "The New Generation" & Felix "Tuto" Zabala Jr. Tickets are now on sale at Miccosukee Resort & Gaming (305-925-2555) and Ticketmaster.
