Man its hard not to feel for ortiz. he has a massive mental break down in the biggest fight of his life vs mayweather, fight is like 2 weeks away vs berto and berto tears his bicep, fights back on with berto and berto tests positive, then gets his jaw broke by a massive underdog that requires 2 surgeries. Hope victor recovers he's always in an exciting fight.

Career ending? technically, isnt his jaw supposed to be stronger than what it was before when it fully heals? He has a titanium plate in there...

That's what they say but I think there's also the mental aspect of it. I hope he comes back but it's going to be hard. That's one of the worst injuries I have ever seen in boxing, his jaw was completely broken in half.

He took alot of heat for quitting on his stool. You definitely can't hate on him for deciding to do so. Injury turned out to be worse than expected.

I've always digged Vic's personality. He's a good kid who's had some rough moments in his career. If the ring is a dead end road for him after this, I think he's got a decent future as a boxing or sports commentator or something.

given that the injury was inflicted in the 3rd round and he lasted till the 9th? is a verry brave and corageous man. Probably would not be so bad if he would've quit earlier, his brokenn jaw took too much unnecesary punishment.

his career was over when he quit on Maidana. The funny thing is Floyd Mayweather made to the top p4p after giving this guy a sucker punch LMAO. Both clowns.
