Randall Bailey takes issue with the suggestion that the depth of his back injury which caused the postponement in his title defense against Devon Alexander wasn’t as extensive as reported.

The bout was originally scheduled for September 8 and took forever to find a home. Less than a month after finally landing at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Bailey was forced to withdraw from the date after suffering the injury during training.

Alexander will dance rings around Bailey and make loud grunting noises every time he throws a punch. We just have to hope Bailey gets a lucky connect with the right hand.

You know what? That sucks because fans used to get pretty hyped on Alexander's fights. The fact that most hardcore fans hate his ass really goes to show how much being on the winning side of a robbery (or two) can really make the fans hate you forever.

I never loved Devon, but the kid can fight. The Kotelnik and Matthyse bouts were excellent, dramatic fights (especially against Matthyse), and if Devon had lost those fights we would all probably still like him.

Just a thought. I hope Bailey ****ing murders him.

People seem to forget how easy Devon schooled Maidana in his last fight,he had a few gifts alright but those were close decisions that could have went either way.Im still a fan of Alexander I think hel do well at 147 I can see him and Malignaggi doing a unfication if both come through this weekend..

Alexander is right behind the big 2 and coming on strong. He takes all the hard fights and wins even if a couple were close. All the so call top guys have looked waaaay worse. Here are a few fighters that some bloggers on this site may have thought, or still think is better, but they are not close. Alexander has had 2 close fights with crazy punch output on his part and a foul tainted loss to Bradley. But lets look at who's supposed to be better.[list][*]Kahn....Not 2 close fights, but 2 ASS whoopings[*]Berto....Let Ortiz whip him[*]Ortiz.....Jaw broke in what was supposed to be a tune up for his Canelo bout, and not to mention the ****** moves that got him KOd by Mayweather[*]Maidana..Shutout by Alexander, but he beat Ortiz silly and had Kahn out on his feet[*]Malignaggi....Can't bust a g**** and got destroyed by Kahn Not one person on this list would have the balls to fight MATTHYSSE. The truth is Devon is a one of the best in the most talented weight class in boxing. He dominates or holds his own. Now I dare 1 person to logically refute this. I ignore belligerent dummies.

Very good insight here. I agree. The Matthysse "win" made it hard for me to like him. The fact that he was always fighting in St. Louie didn't help either. That decision still pisses me off.
