I think he does. Especially if you think Margarito was cheating.

Even if he doesn't hit harder, he at least hits as hard. Rios can punch.

I know he can punch, but not like a big welterweight like margarito with or without his wraps. imho.

It would've been a good fight. Looking at Plasterman vs Cotto I, I'd have to say Rios gives him a run for his money.

Cotto has ALWAYS been susceptible to uppercuts, which is one of Rios's best weapons. I don't know, it would've been a war. I wouldn't be surprised if an undefeated Cotto rose off the ground to stop Rios, but I wouldn't be surprised if Rios stopped Cotto either.

Either way, the fight doesn't see 12.

People love to get behind a guy with a solid chin and heavy hands but that only gets you so far (Chavez Jr). Rios has no significant boxing talent and that's a problem when you fight a guy like Cotto. I'm certainly not a Cotto fan, but he would absolutely embarrass Rios.
