The only guy who beat him clearly is Bradley. The Kotelnik and Matthysse fights were close and could have gone either way...I felt he did enough to earn both decisions.

Alexander is right behind the big 2 and coming on strong. He takes all the hard fights and wins even if a couple were close. All the so call top guys have looked waaaay worse. Here are a few fighters that some bloggers on this site may have thought, or still think is better, but they are not close. Alexander has had 2 close fights with crazy punch output on his part and a foul tainted loss to Bradley. But lets look at who's supposed to be better. [LIST][*]Kahn....Not 2 close fights, but 2 ASS whoopings[*]Berto....Let Ortiz whip him[*]Ortiz.....Jaw broke in what was supposed to be a tune up for his Canelo bout, and not to mention the ****** moves that got him KOd by Mayweather[*]Maidana..Shutout by Alexander, but he beat Ortiz silly and had Kahn out on his feet[*]Malignaggi....Can't bust a g**** and got destroyed by Kahn
Not one person on this list would have the balls to fight MATTHYSSE.
The truth is Devon is a one of the best in the most talented weight class in boxing. He dominates or holds his own. Now I dare 1 person to logically refute this. I ignore belligerent dummies.Comment

Devon needs to get KO'd. What kind of ***** **** is that.He has his trainer go out and trash talk. The trainer gets under the other fighters skin and he just trains. What a ****in clown! Someone with authority should tell Cunningham that he has to shut up now. I noticed Wards trainer did this to all the Super 6 fighters that came to Oakland. It was already bad enough to have to go to Oakland in the first place. Then you have some fat **** that you can't even fight talkin **** in your face. Wards trainer should've been thrown out of the weigh-in for that ****. You don't see that allowed anywhere else just with certain American fighters.Comment

He does, I just hold Devon in much higher regard than Mike Jones and think Bailey is going to be too slow for Devon.
He did look great in that fight.
He definitely lost to Matthysse. Even without the KD Matthysse scored, I had Devon STILL losing.
I respectfully disagree. I think Matthysse clearly beat him. Much harder punches landed, pace dictated, more overall command of the ring.Comment

It's cool, different people have different opinions. But no matter who you think won you can't say that it wasn't a close fight.
Neither fighter dominated and that was reflected in the official scorecards.Comment
