    There is a lot of controversy over Luis Franco's split decision loss to Mauricio Munoz from Saturday night in Argentina. The two boxers met in a final IBF featherweight eliminator in San Juan, Argentina. Franco (11-1, 7 KOs) took a big risk in facing Munoz (26-3, 12 KOs) in his backyard.

    I did not see this fight, but if Franco really should have been awarded the victory, that really sucks for him.

                Just finished watching it on YT. I enjoyed it. This is one of those fights you hate to judge as almost all rounds were swing rds. Franco was more effective when he opened up but Munoz was extremely busy and maybe landed more telling shots.
                What I don't get is how the fck one judge had it 118-110 for Franco.. Either way it was a decent scrap.

                  The kind of fight you just described is hard to score. It's also the kind that often goes to the hometown kid. Franco had the guts to go into unknown territory; he should've known you can't rely on the judging. I'll need to check the fight out later on YouTube.
