Probably did.
But everyone seems to be calling for Price to have a chin check and well... that just wouldn't work out.

I like Price, but his biggest downfall will be that chin. Thankfully he's got the physical attributes to protect it but it'll never go away. Shame Audley never tested it as when Price meets someone his own size, he'll look a lot more vulnerable.Comment

The video is such poor quality that you really can't take anything from it getting knocked down doesn't necessarily mean he has a bad chin. The video doesn't show how he reacted to the K.D if he was even hurt at all it could have been a balance issue.
Is this video the reason why people say he's chinny? Seen a lot of talk about his chin but never really seen him hurt but I've only seen a few of his fights.Comment

like you said, with his size and attributes it shouldn't matter, his style will not be to take punches, as Wlad's isn't Lewis's wasn't hell even Vitlai's isn't, it will be to keep opponents on the outside, impose his 6'8" height and reach upon them with stiff jabs and power punches, he will mix it up when there is opportunity, but not against punchers.Probably did.

And most guys that size are ****, and will get flattened (Audley, Thompson, Grant, Austin, Dimitrenko etc etc etc)Comment

He got stopped a few timesin the amateurs by different fighters. I think it was a lot more to do with his defence and technique personally. He certainly doesn't have a good chin, but he seems to have tightened things up a lot. Plus I think in the pro's fighters will be much more cautious because of his power, in the amateurs that was somewhat nullified. The video is such poor quality that you really can't take anything from it getting knocked down doesn't necessarily mean he has a bad chin. That is not a big deal, getting knocked down in an amateur bout. If that is what ppl are going to hold on to then that is lame.
The only way to know is when he starts getting hit good in the pro rankings now against decent opposition.Comment

David Price's chin... is questionable, to say the least. In amateurs he was KO'ed by Dudayev in 2001, then RSC'ed (lol) by Stiverne and Cammarelle, and he was hurt really bad in those fights.Last edited by GatecrasherUA; 10-15-2012, 10:23 AM.Comment
