i don't see the problem with a mayweather-alvarez fight. okay, ideally canelo should fight a trout or kirkland or lara before getting a shot at the best fighter in the sport, just to make sure he really can do the business against an equally big opponent, but even without that win he's still unanimously agreed to be one of the two or three best fighters at the weight -- just on the basis of his skill set if nothing else. at the end of the day he's the wbc champ, the ring magazine #3, and is physically bigger than floyd. what better opponents are out there? (not including pacquiao because that's just not going to happen for whatever reason, or martinez because he's too big).
