I'm pretty sure Bob Arum would rather let Donaire beat on Arce. Rigo will get his shot down the line.

Well thats if donaire ever wants the fight and well whos knows even though arce is old the Juanma/Salido outcome can happen to the greedy arum and this fight won't have a meaning.

Remember how arum tried to hold off Juanma/Gamboa as much as he could and it beat him in the ass. By yesterday fights you can tell donaire doesn't like getting hit until he faces someone his own size and not old anymore we will really see what he is made off

Agreed. The only guys that usually have trouble with the transition are guys that have no punch at all.

and most importantly chin. Look at khan granted he still is a solid champion that i always question his move to roach as roach is not a good defensive trainer. Anyways imagine if khan had the chin of chavez, and dlh lol he would be a beast

He has been a Marque fighter for a while, I don't think you can say he had a hard time transitioning to the pros. He has beat some very solid fighters.

With the exception of Harrison, they all had decent career. Jirov was THE man at his weight. Not sure why you included him on that list? He had a very good career.

David Reid, Mark Breland, Frank Tate, Tyrell Biggs, Henry tillman, Kennedy McKinney, Vassiliy Jirov, I guess 7 out of 8 is not good enough, every one of these fighters had good careers, some didn't pan out as HOF kind of fighters still, they made it, there's more great amateurs that make it in the professional rank than not, probably for every one that didn't make it I could mention two that did...

He will get credit from everyone, except you, and he has fought twice on Manny's PPV cards just before the main event, he headlined his fight against Casey and Ramos, there's no blinding because I want him to fight the best unlike other fans that want their boxer fighting old men/bums/under-weight/other, hiding behind promoters/alphabet/org, giving excuses left and right, just it is a business but if he wants his product to sell he needs a little be of quality unless you like no frill...

Do you really think everybody have to be great to have a good career?They were good amateurs and won belts in the professional rank, not everyone have to be Ali, Foreman, SRL, Michael Spinks, Holyfield, as long as you have a successful career and became a Champion you are ok, some like Briscoe never fulfill their dream, still he had a solid career, for Rigondeaux coming to the game so late, not his fault, and with only 11 fights having a belt and been mention it with the elite it is, IMO a great accomplishment because most of the fighters never get to be were Rigondeaux is and was...

The lengths people go to justify Donaire never fighting Rigondeaux is insane.

This is a ehhhh fight. Arce hasn't had a decent win since Vazquez Jr a year and a half ago. Arce should be fighting someone like Darchinyan, Agbeko, Vazquez Jr rematch, etc.

Donaire should be fighting Mares/Moreno and Rigondeaux.
