  • I don't understand how people can live with themselves being parrots. If Donaire didn't offer a plethora of excuses and just stuck to one, he'd get the benefit of the doubt, but that's not what he's done and that gives me the idea that he doesn't think he can beat Rigo. If any of the posters here would just say, 'no, he shouldn't fight Rigo because he'd beat him easily', I'd give more merit to that than you echoing the bs that he says. It seems to me that deep down inside all the Donaire huggers that say, 'Rigo's unproven, he needs more fights, he's not money', you guys think Donaire will lose.

If Rigo says he's ready and wants to fight, you should be encouraging Donaire to give him a rude awakening. Give the hypejob a payday[if it can even be considered one] and collect your bigger purse--easy work. I think Rigo would box his ears off but there's no doubt in my mind that Donaire could very well beat him. I'm thinking for myself and speaking from the fan of the sport's perspective. I see two extremely talented individuals, at their best, and think that a bout between them would be great for the sport.

Clowns talking about 'fight more guys' and 'it's about money.' Who is making real money at '22? When was the last time you could have a conversation with a casual sports fan about that guy Nonito Donaire or Guillermo Rigondeaux? Mares, Moreno, Agbeko?

    Nishioka????

    • Ok well putting amateur records aside, Rigo is a champion and only has 11 fights, and is considered #4 (ESPN above Arce) at 122 any other excuses?

Don't waste time, Deez... apparently, all of that means nothing in the eyes of the cult.

He didn't go down, he didn't get battered. He get hit with one shot, buckled a bit, then went back to dominating.

Do I need to remind you that Marroquin has wins over both Adrien Broner and Gary Russel Jr?

Do I also need to remind you that he has a higher KO percentage than Donaire?

Hes not a bum, he was a very live opponent who will go on to have a very good career.
            WOW, impressive

he should be Donaire's next opponent

I wouldn't be surprised. He just needs to fight a bum, then Donaire will fight him, like he did with WV2

                  • I am a fan of Nonito but yeah I agree he's clearly ducking Rigondeaux. That fight is a 50/50 fight and a real test for Donaire. Bob's not going to make it happen unless HBO puts up big numbers which they should. They keep asking for it. Will offer Nonito that big money and maybe this fight happens you never know.
