For the record, I don't think Peterson should have earned the title shot nor should he even be licensed, but who's going to be available for Bradley in February that isn't available now?

Sometimes "not acting like a dog" is a horrible move. Look at how it turned out for Gamboa and Dirrell. Look at how that turned out for James Kirkland.

It's admirable to stand up at times like in Cotto's case, but don't act like every fighter should do the same. This generation's of fighters have led to a lot of pricing out and for good fights not being made.

At the same time, Arum and Golden Boy have led to a lot of good fights not being made too. It's bull**** on both sides, but don't act like Timmy isn't doing something super smart here.

Whether you think Peterson Bradley II is a **** fight or not (I personally think it's okay. Undeserved, but it makes sense) doesn't mean Bradley's attitude shouldn't be applauded.

This is twice now he has done this.
Kind of off topic, but did Peterson ever get a license? I know the IBF let him keep his belt, but doesn't he still need to apply for a license through the NSAC before he can fight anywhere else in the country?

Thanks, but there's nothing specific there. If he doesn't throw out some names, then it looks petty suspect. After getting a gift belt and no respect, I'd expect him to be looking to prove himself. Time for him to be a champ.

Why are we asking who should he fight and blah blah when we know who he shouldn't fight? We all put our pants on one leg at a time. And quite frankly, the Peterson bout is a crappy one. I'd rather he say no and wait it out. Bradley's attitude absolutely be applauded because he's not allowing his promoter to dictate what he should do with his career. It should be applauded because he's reminding the promoter who works for whom, not just because the promoter wants to get his fourth quarter cash and is making fights that do nothing for the sport.

And I don't understand this twice he's done this stuff. I do remember him committing career suicide (nonsense from people without perspective) when he waited it out and (surprise!) got the fight he wanted. Perhaps we should wait this out too? I don't even understand the complaint--he's turning down a played out sequel.

Furthermore, the idea that he'll end up becoming a Gamboa is as plausible as the idea he'll end up becoming a Hopkins. You're not automatically screwed just because you decide not to play ball.

Clottey shelved himself. BTW, he was dropped by Top Rank a while ago.

Bradley might help end this ****** feud between GBP and TR..If he can convince uncle Bob to play ball with and get him the fight he wants...Which I'm sure is with a GBP fighter...

Pretty sure he's said he wants Guerrero, and that fight was rumored to be talked about not long before the Peterson fight became Bradley's next fight. He wants a good welterweight, most of which are not Top Rank.

Why the *** would HBO and Arum want him to fight Peterson anyway? Such a boring and pointless fight.
