    Lamar Russ violently snatched the "0" from Jonathan Cepeda in the opening round of a matchup of unbeaten super middleweights.

    The bout was fought on even terms for about a minute until Russ dug in and went to work. Cepeda was hurt early and never fully recovered. A vicious knockdown had the Dominican prospect stutter-stepping around the ring, prompting the referee to stop the contest at 1:45 of round one.

      What a pointless fight for Taylor, he just knocked out the same guy Mike Jones knocked out a couple fight's ago.

                  Bull***** I never commented on this fight, get your facts straight homie. Besides it was a pointless fight, just like the Canelo/Lopez fight. Big guys fighting little guys! If you want to see that be my guest, but I'd rather see him fight a true middleweight. Kick rocks.

                      Was not that impressed with anyone on this card. The PR kid has been hyped way too much IMO. First time he faces a strong counter puncher, he is going to struggle. He is there to be hit.

                          Why would they say Cepeda lost instead of Russ won???????? Cepeda was a joke. No balance, stiff as a board, lumbering, slow, pathetic really. Loved seeing his arrogant entrance get properly rewarded with a 1 round KO loss. He had not earned the right to act all high and mighty with that entrance he put on and was properly exposed.

                              Taylor should retire before he gets seriously hurt. Once he steps up in and fight the top fighters he'll get knocked out.
