The scene is set for a showdown involving the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) featherweight title fight at the National Indoor Sports Centre in Jamaica on December 8. Tickets will go on sale November 8th.

According to The Gleamer, Nicholas 'The Axeman' Walters will take on Colombia's Daulis Prescott, the No. 5 contender, for the vacant belt. The title became vacant on Monday when Celestino Caballero dropped the belt. He refused to fight Walters for a purse of $90,000.

Prescott is ranked 142nd at featherweight by boxrec and hasn't fought anyone ranked in the top 100. Yet another brilliant fight for a vacant WBA title. Walters is pretty good. The WBA didn't need to get him a patsy for this fight

Just because others have "stay busy" fights planned doesn't mean they can't switch plans and fight for a title. Plus, there has to be somebody more legit in the rankings than Prescott. I am not blaming Walters. If somebody offered me an easy title, I'd be a fool not to take it
